About Us

The Shop

The Flute Shop was opened by Becki Chesnes in 2016 from her house in Hamilton, Ohio. In 2017, TFS was moved to a space on the lower level of the Fitton Center for Creative Arts. To make room for more inventory and group classes, in 2018 Becki moved the shop to its present location in the Main Street District of Hamilton on South D Street.

A favorite destination for flutists in the tri-state area, The Flute Shop stocks sheet music, accessories (gig bags, playing aids, music stands, cases, et cetera), flute specific merchandise (t-shirts, hats, jewelry, gifts), and a wide array of flutes, piccolos and headjoints from student to professional levels ranging from $150-$35,000.

Events & Classes

The Flute Shop also offers individual and group instruction with the owner and special guest artist performances as well as masterclasses and flute clinics. For a schedule of upcoming events or to register for lessons or classes, visit the Events & Classes page.

If your flute is in need of repair or tune up, The Flute Shop can help. Visit the repair page for specifics about the COA process at TFS and scheduling a shop visit for your flute.
